Project X Logo NEW 2020-01.png

Intriguing as it is adored, Project X showcases unique labels created by independent artists that have been translated from their original media, be it canvas, street art, or photography. Teaming up with artists to spawn inspired works that tie into each beer’s namesake, we have adopted a distinctive concept that shifts the focus from just the liquid in the can, to a sensory experience that makes a piece of aluminum not just a thing of beauty, but a true work of art both inside and out.

These are one-off, limited production brews.

HOP MONSTER

HAZY IPA

Leaning heavily on southern-hemisphere hop varietals like Rakau and Nelson Sauvin, Hop Monster’s sensory journey begins with sweet fruit aromas followed by a tropical mid-palate and smooth finish with a balanced residual sweetness characteristic of NEIPAs without the use of lactose. A respectable bitterness of 60 IBUs adds a West-coast-inspired finish, held up by a full body and mild, wheaty malt profile.

HOPS: NELSON, CITRA, RAKAU

ABV: 7.3%

IBU: 60

SRM: 6.5

NEW HORIZONS

HAZY IPA

Our third Project X release of 2023 utilizes various techniques to drive hop flavors and aromas to new heights, with El Dorado in the mash, Idaho 7 in the whirlpool, and Mosaic & Strata coming in during and post fermentation. This combination of hopping regiments throughout the brew and into the conditioning process, produces an IPA with a dank but fruit-forward hop aroma and flavor with sustained citrus, tropical, and floral notes.

HOPS: EL DORADO, IDAHO 7, MOSAIC, STRATA

ABV: 7.5%

IBU: 40

SRM: 6.5

HEAD CASE

HAZY IPA

Head Case is the first in the series to feature our new crop year of Citra and Galaxy hops, which are both showing really strong stone fruit, tropical fruit, citrus, and ripe berry notes.  Utilizing a “cool-pooling” technique to preserve non-volatile hop flavor compounds, we are able to extract maximum mid-palate flavor and aroma, while not pulling through any additional bitterness, resulting in a super soft, smooth finish.

HOPS: MOSAIC, CITRA, RAKAU

ABV: 7.2%

IBU: 45

SRM: 7

IDOL WORSHIP

HAZY IPA

IDOL WORSHIP HAS A SOUTHERN HEMISPHERE FOCUS, featuring all New Zealand and Australian Hops. Nelson Sauvin, Galaxy, and Vic Secret set the tone with ample tropical fruit aroma and flavor including passion fruit, mango, lychee, kiwi and pineapple. They are laid on our Project-X base malt profile but with the wheat turned up, creating a hazy, pillowy mouthfeel and near-straw-colored lightness. The slightly higher ABV allows us to stuff more hops into the beer without the annoying hop-burn.

HOPS: NELSON, GALAXY, VIC SECRET

ABV: 7.7%

IBU: 35

SRM: 7

SYNAPTIC PLASTICITY

HAZY IPA

EL DORADO IS THE BASELINE HOP with guava and cotton candy sweetness that serve as a template for the bigger cold-side additions of Simcoe and Galaxy. The Simcoe has a slightly more tangy note of navel orange and is an elevating hop that pushes the brightness of the fruit profile up against the ripe Mango and sugared Strawberry notes of Galaxy.

HOPS: EL DORADO, CITRA, GALAXY

ABV: 7.7%

IBU: 35
