Intriguing as it is adored, Project X showcases unique labels created by independent artists that have been translated from their original media, be it canvas, street art, or even sculpture. Teaming up with artists to spawn inspired works that tie into each beer’s namesake, we have adopted a distinctive concept that shifts the focus from just the liquid in the can, to a sensory experience that makes a piece of aluminum not just a thing of beauty, but a true work of art both inside and out.
These are one-off, limited production brews.
Whether it is through photography, painting, video or sound, Chantal explores the micro landscapes found in nature as if they were scenes from another planet. Mollusk features, such as the hairs on a crab's carapace or the iridescent interior of an abalone shell, become monumental terrains to be traversed, and through these close up studies of natural forms, we are invited to wonder at the connection running through every form of life, on our own earth and beyond.
'Sectioned' is the product of an imaginative staging of a discarded crab carapace photographed through a magnifying lens, where the crab setae, or fur/hairs, become visible.
Taking inspiration from what she sees in nature, Gail uses watercolors and acrylic to bring the world around her to life through her uplifting and colorful illustrations.
Originally titled "The Big Picture" this stunning painting was inspired by Gail's late night musings about earth’s place in the universe.
FROM THE ARTIST:
"Considering the stars, constellations, and unknowns that seem an arm’s length away on a clear night, I reflected about how pulled we are to our moon and light shows in the sky. Having spent 20 years living in Alaska, I was moved to include a section of Northern Lights in my painting. I used a selection of knives to paint The Big Picture with viscous Acrylic paint on a museum-quality wrapped canvas."

Largely believed to be the most unadulterated form of track recording, the art piece demonstrates the juxtaposition of a dated phonogram producing a vibrant soundscape, with 'Groove Rider' representing the needle of the record player riding the grooves of the vinyl.
