If you’re looking for your first Hazy IPA of the new year, our Project X Series is a good place to start. As the first release of the year, this beer sets the tone for what we love most about the program: thoughtful experimentation, expressive hops, and collaborations that bring brewing and art together. It’s our space to explore new ideas and push flavor forward, and Cause & Effect is built exactly with that intention.
When you pour it, you’ll notice the soft haze and full, pillowy body right away. The hop bill — Nelson Sauvin, Strata, Galaxy, and Mosaic — layers bright white grape and gooseberry with passionfruit, peach, pineapple, and citrus. The result is juicy and aromatic, with depth and balance, finishing clean without harsh bitterness. It’s hop-forward and saturated, but still easy to come back to sip after sip.

The label continues the story. We partnered with illustrator @fivetimesno, whose fragmented, glitch-inspired design plays with movement and disruption, creating a visual sense of cause and reaction. The artwork reflects the beer itself: layered, dynamic, and intentional — a reminder that small changes in process and ingredients can lead to entirely new outcomes in the glass.
Cause & Effect Hazy IPA is available now on draft and in cans at our Vista, CA and Nampa, ID taprooms, with distribution beginning this weekend. If you want to see where Project X is headed this year, this is the first step. Search near you using our beer finder or stop by for our First Pour event on Sunday and break your dry January fast with us.
