The Western Regional Sales Director is responsible for overseeing Mother Earth’s sales efforts across all channels, with an added focus on regional & national grocery chains.  This position will drive sales direction while working directly with the heads of the brewing and operations divisions to ensure a strategic and cooperative approach to company goals and overall strategy.  The successful candidate will have diverse sales experience in the beverage industry, a hunger for winning and a deep passion for beer.


What You'll Be Doing:


  • Work directly with the established distributor network and other members of the sales team to design and achieve strategic sales goals through all available means

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key retailer buyers to better drive initiatives and programs that maximize Mother Earth’s shelf presence and revenue goals

  • Directly submit new and existing items for retailer consideration for shelf placements, limited offerings, planner engagement, advertising blocks and other opportunities

  • Travel for key appointments and presentations up to 25% of the time

  • Drive sales team performance by planning and assigning responsibilities and developing key goals and objectives. 

  • Maintain best-In-class sales processes while actively coaching and developing members of the sales team

  • Develop professional sales presentations and associated content to engage and inform retailer partners

  • Analyze key metrics across all sales channels to uncover opportunities for growth

  • Prioritize and focus on strategic accounts that possess growth potential and significantly influence the brand preference of Mother Earth’s target consumer demographics.

  • Work with all areas of Mother Earth’s leadership throughout the annual budgeting and revenue projection process

  • Adhere to all Mother Earth’s policies and procedures and ensure direct reports do the same

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

 

What You'll Need for this Position:


  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing or related field.

  • A minimum of ten years of progressive sales experience in the beverage alcohol industry.

  • A minimum of five years' experience working with national/regional grocery accounts, preferably working directly with buyers

  • Established business connections and relationships within the Grocery, C-Store, Drug, Mass and Club channels.

  • Demonstrated ability to develop and coach individuals resulting in higher levels of performance.

  • Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

  • Outstanding presentation and influencing skills.

  • Strong ability to multi-task, change priorities and achieve success with minimal amount of direction.

  • Ability to effectively utilize business information reporting tools, (Nielsen, IRI, VIP, etc)

  • Extensive experience with Microsoft Powerpoint, Word, Excel and Outlook

  • Must be at least 21 years of age and possess a valid driver's license.

  • Must be able to routinely lift 75 pounds

Compensation: $91,702.00 - $100,351.00/year

Schedule:


  • 8 hour shift

  • Monday to Friday

  • Weekends as needed
