PACKAGING TECHNICIAN

Mother Earth Brew Co. is looking for a motivated person to join our team. We are located in Nampa, ID about 20 minutes from downtown Boise in a 40,000 square foot building. We produce about 30,000 bbls of beer per year, ranging from our flagship Cali Creamin' Vanilla Cream Ale to art inspired Project X Hazy IPAs. The ideal candidate would be an active participant in local homebrewing scene and have passion for homebrewing. Packaging Technician is a great opportunity to start a new career in craft beer!

Job Overview

Packaging Technicians are part of the Packaging Team and managed by our Packaging Manager. They help fill cans, bottles, kegs and wash kegs on a daily basis.

General Responsibilities

• Participate in set up, operation, and cleanup of Meheen Bottling Line, Wild Goose Canning line, Premier Keg Washer and ancillary equipment

• Assist in basic maintenance of all machinery including troubleshooting and working with Maintenance Manager to diagnose issues

• Use forklift to move finished product to cold storage and update inventory

• Wash kegs using semi automated 3 head Premier Keg Washer

• Generally help around brewery where needed with opportunity to learn from Package and Brewing staff.

• Follow all Mother Earth safety standards

• Alert Packaging Manager of any quality control issues

• Other duties as directed by Packaging Manager

Qualifications

• Ability to work well in a fast paced team environment

• Ability to stand and work on feet all day

• Ability to lift and move 175 pound keg occasionally

• Ability to lift 55 pounds repetitively

• Must have reliable transportation, be punctual and maintain good attendance

• Work morning and afternoon shifts

• High school diploma or GED

• Warehouse / inventory experience

• Forklift certified a plus

• Homebrew experience a plus
