Mother Earth Field Sales Representative (Idaho & Montana)
Job Overview:
Join the team at Mother Earth! We are hiring an exceptional and dynamic Field Sales Representative to help drive our business forward in the Idaho and Montana markets. This role is perfect for an organized and motivated individual who is excited about selling beer and working in the craft beer world. The home base for this full-time position is our brewery in Nampa, Idaho but the bulk of time is spent out in the market. This position will report to the VP of Sales and the target start date is May 15th, 2024.
General Responsibilities
Win new accounts both on and off premise within the territory assigned. This includes organizing daily work schedule to identify potential customers, conduct tastings, pursue follow up meetings, communicate commitments to wholesaler network and follow up after delivery to ensure customer satisfaction
Maintain and strengthen relationships and sales of existing accounts. Check in with beer buyers of current accounts on a scheduled basis to ensure ongoing satisfaction and to present and promote new offerings
Work closely with representatives from our wholesaler network to execute goals and programming in both the on and off premise channels. This includes but is not limited to chain programming/display opportunities, on-premise feature programs and a variety of promotional activities.
Demonstrate thorough knowledge of beer styles and Mother Earth products
Represent Mother Earth at approved and scheduled festivals, tastings, and other official Mother Earth events
Schedule and attend wholesaler interactions, including sales team meetings, route ride-alongs and new account openings.
Provide management with daily/weekly oral and written activity reports detailing efforts in the market to drive business
Resolve customer concerns and issues quickly and professionally
Be an ambassador for Mother Earth, our Wholesaler network and craft beer in general
Maintain care of all Mother Earth owned assets and equipment per company operating procedures
Submit receipts and follow accounting procedures for all expenses on a weekly basis
Acknowledge and comply with the Mother Earth Employee Handbook
Other duties as may be required or assigned by management
Qualifications:
· Engaging personality! Be the person others look forward to seeing!
· Some sales experience, preferably in the beverage industry (not required)
· Positive and flexible attitude, even in the face of the unexpected
· Extremely high level of accountability and ability to thrive in an independent work environment
· Detailed knowledge of beer styles, ingredients, flavors, and descriptions, bonus points for understanding the brewing process
· General knowledge of the brewing process
· Excellent customer service and interpersonal communication skills
· Ability to lift 50+ pounds repeatedly
· Open availability to include weekends and holidays, and ability to travel up to 30% of time
· Excellent driving record
· 21 years or older
Comp/Benefits:
· Base pay + monthly bonus, with maximum total compensation to range from $47,000 to $54,000 annually
