One of the things we enjoy most about the Project X Series is that there's never a formula.

Some beers begin with a hop bill we've been eager to explore. Others start with a concept, a name, or even a piece of artwork that sparks an idea. Project X gives us the freedom to let those creative paths intersect, and that's exactly what happened with Odin's Ally.

One of our favorite parts of Project X is collaborating with artists whose work inspires us. For this release, we partnered with Emerald Bay, whose bold, fantasy-inspired style immediately caught our attention. The raven, vivid colors, and electric energy of the piece felt like the perfect foundation for a beer inspired by Norse mythology, and from there, Odin's Ally began to take shape.

The artwork immediately evokes the legends surrounding Odin and his ravens. In Norse mythology, Odin was accompanied by two ravens, Huginn and Muninn, who traveled the world each day before returning to share everything they had seen. They represented thought and memory, acting as the Allfather's eyes and ears. While the artwork isn't intended to depict either raven specifically, it captures that same sense of wisdom, mystery, and power that inspired the name Odin's Ally.

With the visual direction established, our brewing team got to work creating a beer that could stand alongside it. The result is a double dry-hopped Hazy IPA built around Elani, Nelson Sauvin, Strata, and Citra Cryo hops—a combination that layers expressive citrus character with vibrant tropical fruit notes.

The first impression is unmistakably citrus-forward. Sweet lemon-lime candy and fresh orange juice lead the way before giving way to grapefruit, passion fruit, papaya, and hints of peach sweet tea. The silky mouthfeel that has become a hallmark of our hazy IPAs keeps everything soft and approachable, while restrained bitterness allows the hop character to shine from the first sip through the finish. At 7.2% ABV, it's full-flavored without ever feeling heavy.

Tattooed hand holds a colorful Odin's Ally Hazy IPA can on a black case in a dim brewery.
One of the things we love most about brewing hazy IPAs is the opportunity to showcase hops in ways that go beyond bitterness. Modern varieties bring an incredible range of aromas and flavors, and finding the right balance between them is one of the most rewarding parts of recipe development.

-Matt Watterson, Head Brewer

Odin's Ally is built around that philosophy. Every hop contributes something unique, creating layers of citrus, tropical fruit, and subtle complexity that continue to evolve as the beer warms in the glass. That spirit of exploration is exactly what Project X has always been about. The artwork isn't simply decoration, and the beer isn't simply a vehicle for the art. The goal is to create something where both elevate one another.

If you've followed the Project X Series over the years, you know no two releases are alike. Different artists. Different hop combinations. Different stories. That's by design. We want every beer to feel like a new experience - something worth slowing down to appreciate, whether you're admiring the artwork before cracking the can or discovering new flavors.

Odin's Ally is available in 16oz cans and on draft at our tap rooms and at a craft beer retailer near you. Search our Beer Finder.

Algo que valoro cuando consulto Número de la es que la información sea fácil de encontrar y entender. Una página que piensa en la experiencia del lector termina siendo mucho más agradable, especialmente cuando uno vuelve posteriormente para consultar nuevamente el contenido.
