Beer Release: Experience 'Cosmic Dissonance' with our Newest Project X Series Brew

Colorful beer cans featuring a psychedelic design with cosmic imagery. Text reads "Cosmic Dissonance" and "Hazy IPA" by Mother Earth Brew Co.

We are opening 2025 with a mind-blowing HIPA from our Project X Series. Cosmic Dissonance is the first of six rotating hazy IPAs we plan to release this year and our brewers are already headed out of the gate with a bang.

Keeping on brand with beer releases of series-past, which is celebrating its 6th year in our product line, Cosmic Dissonance features stellar artwork from the artist known as @MidMindArts.

A collage of 9 digital art scenes with vivid colors: landscapes, a cabin by a stream, a knight, a wizard, a city view, TV stack, and trains.

The artwork inspired an equally-spacey sensory experience thanks mostly to a four hop blend consisting of Galaxy, Simcoe, Sabro, and Superdelic.

Mother Earth Head Brewer, Matt Waterson, describes the attributes of this choice mix of hops:

“Cosmic Dissonance is built around a light grain bill that consists of Pale 2-Row, Wheat malt, and loads of oats, producing a soft mouthfeel and beautiful glowing haze. It features the newest of the New Zealand fruit-forward hops, Superdelic (formerly NZ-102) and expresses heavy tropical fruit notes and berry, balanced with sweet citrus. Our selected Galaxy presents with strong peach and passionfruit notes. We also added light amounts of Sabro for mango, vanilla and its signature floral attributes. Simcoe then brings a boost of sticky apricot and a bit of dankness. All-in-all this is a mind-melting, full-bodied HIPA.”

Cosmic Dissonance is available first at our tap rooms, with distribution to follow in 16oz cans and on draft, or search near you at our beer finder.

This sounds absolutely delicious! That hop blend sounds like a real party in a can. I'm especially intrigued by the Superdelic hops - I've been hearing a lot about those lately. The description of the mouthfeel and flavor profile is spot-on. I'm definitely going to be on the lookout for this one at my local taproom. Speaking of mind-melting experiences, have you guys ever considered doing any augmented reality tie-ins with your artwork? Imagine pointing your phone at the can and seeing a short, animated video... maybe something with a crazy cattle 3D animation drifting through space! That would be a cool way to further enhance the Cosmic Dissonance experience. Can't wait to try it!
