We’ve always believed that great beer starts with bold ideas—and now we’re thrilled to share that Mother Earth Brew Co. has joined forces with some of the most innovative minds in the hop world.

We’re officially a part of FWD, the innovation program from Yakima Chief Hops that grants early access to unreleased hop products and invites select breweries to shape the future of craft beer. As one of the few breweries in this exclusive club, we get to roll up our sleeves and dive headfirst into the next generation of hop technology.

So, what does that mean for you? It means more inventive, hop-driven brews—and we’re starting strong.

To kick off the collaboration, our brewing team crafted a boundary-pushing American Pale Ale that showcases the possibilities of FWD’s cutting-edge hop formats. This isn't your average Pale Ale. It’s a masterclass in hop expression, featuring Mosaic hops in three distinct forms:

  • Traditional hop pellets

  • Cryogenic concentrated pellets

  • A brand-new liquid product from YCH called “803”—a super-concentrated hop oil created through a proprietary distillation process that preserves the aromatic heart and soul of the hop.

Pipe with yellow liquid, metal fittings, and a small bottle labeled "FWD" on a stainless steel system in an industrial setting.

“What all these ‘sciencey’ terms really mean is we loaded this easy-drinker with all the Mosaic,” says Head Brewer Matt Waterson. “The result is a crisp, expressive Pale Ale that drinks bright, clean, and complex. It’s a glass of pure hop exploration—perfect for beer geeks and casual sippers alike.”

A bottle labeled FWD sits atop a blue industrial machine inside a stainless steel tank with liquid and grains, in a factory setting.

As part of FWD, we’ll continue experimenting with novel hop formats, sharing feedback with Yakima Chief Hops, and releasing beers that stretch the boundaries of what’s possible in craft brewing. If you're into innovation, you're in for a ride. Try our latest brew at one of our three tap rooms.

Keep an eye out for more experimental releases as we brew our way forward—literally.

Wow, this is exciting news! Mother Earth Brew Co. pushing boundaries with experimental Mosaic hops sounds incredible. It really makes you think about innovation and fresh perspectives. Speaking of how our minds work, I've always been curious about my own intellectual age. Might be fun to try a Mental Age Test !
